2. Bioethanol

Oil palm trees planted on a large scale in Sumatra and Kalimantan are now killing millions of hectares of tropical forest. Harvested and processed palm oil is estimated to have created 33 tonnes of carbon, which is 10 times the carbon produced by gasoline.
